Building for the Future Named Charity of the Year by Fiscal Technologies

Updated: Dec 19, 2025

We are delighted to share some wonderful news as Building for the Future has been chosen as Charity of the Year by Reading-based company FISCAL Technologies.

From the very outset, the FISCAL Technologies has embraced this partnership with enthusiasm, generosity and genuine interest in what we do to support families with disabled children and young people in the area.

The FISCAL team has already launched their festive '12 Days of Christmas Charity Countdown' FUNdraising initiative, including bake sales, festive jumper days and team activities, setting the tone for what promises to be a fantastic year of support.

Yesterday, 12th December, we were thrilled to welcome members of the FISCAL Technologies team to Our House, our specialist play therapy centre for disabled children. Their visit coincided with an extraordinary act of kindness: the delivery of dozens of beautifully wrapped toys for the children and siblings attending our Christmas parties this year.

Ordinarily, funding Christmas gifts requires us to apply for grants to cover both presents and wrapping materials. This year, however, the FISCAL team shared our Amazon Wishlist internally - and it was fulfilled in minutes. Their generosity ensures that families attending Our House this Christmas can focus on joy, celebration and togetherness.

During the visit, our Centre Manager Nicki Mitchell and Head of Fundraising Jason McMahon had the pleasure of showing the team around the centre and explaining the impact of our work on children and families.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone at FISCAL Technologies for their warmth, energy and commitment. Their early support has already made a meaningful difference and we are very much looking forward to working together throughout the year ahead.

Thank you, FISCAL Technologies! This partnership has truly started in the most heart-warming way.
