Exciting Progress on Our New Building

We’re thrilled to share a quick update on the development of Building for the Future’s new home in Thames Valley Park.

We recently had a brilliant planning session with Simon Innes (Innes Associates Ltd.), Louise Cupac (Plus Parts Limited), and Interfix Services Ltd., working together to shape a vibrant, accessible space for children and young people with disabilities and additional needs.

With a focus on creativity and inclusivity — and working within a tight budget — we explored how every part of the building can serve a wide range of ages and abilities.

Watching our ideas come to life through hand-drawn sketches was truly inspiring!

The new centre will include:

🧸 A soft play area

🌈 A calming sensory room

🛋 A teen chill-out zone

🎮 Computer, music & gaming rooms

🎨 A free play space

🍽 A family-friendly kitchen

🌿 A welcoming garden area

As a parent-led charity, every step forward is powered by passion and perseverance. We’re incredibly grateful for support so far from Howdens, Screwfix Foundation, and the local Microsoft team.

We’re now looking for more support — whether it’s materials, expertise, time, or creativity. If you or someone you know can help (especially artists or tradespeople), we’d love to hear from you!

Together, we’re building something special for our community.
