Christmas is nearly upon us and we can’t thank you enough for supporting our charity during this time.
We sent out a call to the local community to help us hold a fundraising stall at the Twyford Together Christmas Fayre on December 2nd and people all across the area donated teddies for our popular ‘teddy tombola.’
The fayre was a wonderfully festive evening in Twyford’s high street and it was so good to share the message of what we do with thousands of people.
We raised just under £200 on the night and thank you to Rob Yeadon who very kindly covered the cost of our stall.
This followed on from the Wokingham Winter Carnival, another popular local event, where we had a giant cuddly toy raffle, raising £87. Thanks to Louise Jedras, Community Champion at Tesco Wokingham for donating a huge soft labrador for the occasion.
Going forward we are looking into 2023 with anticipation. We have lots planned, including extending our sessions and services at ‘Our House,’ as well as establishing an 18+ social group for disabled young people; holding an art and photography exhibition at our Building for the Future Plus offices in Twyford and initiating a parents’ support group.
To help us continue to do our great work with disabled children, young people and their families please consider making a donation at https://boxbo.stockcrowd.com/form-d35eb344-5e75-4b23-aabb-3e082dc1baf3
Thank you and Merry Christmas from all of us here at Building for the Future!
