Atticus Partners Chooses Building for the Future as Charity Partner and Takes on Reading Half Marathon Challenge

We are delighted to announce that communications consultancy Atticus Partners has chosen Building for the Future as its charity partner for the next six months.

To kick-off the partnership, members of the Atticus Partners team will take part in the Reading Half Marathon, raising funds to support Building for the Future’s new play therapy centre and sensory garden at Thames Valley Park.

Funds raised will help the charity continue to provide a safe, inclusive environment where more children and young adults can access therapeutic play, build confidence, develop communication skills and simply be themselves in a new and larger bespoke, accessible and inclusive facility.

Atticus Partners’ fundraising efforts will also go towards an extended programme of activities at the new centre, enabling more families to access specialist support and therapy services.

Jane Holmes, CEO of Building for the Future, said:

“Being chosen as Atticus Partners’ charity partner is a wonderful boost for Building for the Future.

"Partnerships like this make a real difference, helping us continue to provide life-changing play therapy and support for disabled children and their families.

"We’re incredibly grateful to the Atticus team for taking on the Reading Half Marathon and championing our work. Their support will help ensure that more children can access the safe, supportive and joyful environment our centre provides.”

Over the coming months, Atticus Partners will support the charity through fundraising, awareness raising and community engagement activities.

Atticus Partners' Leon Cook called Building for the Future an 'amazing charity' and is leading his team in the firm's first fundraising mission - running the Reading Half Marathon on 22nd March.

Leon said:

“Building for the Future is an amazing charity that provides support and wraparound care to over 1000 children and young adults with disabilities across Berkshire and the south east.

"Their new facility is going to be state of the art and much bigger because of the ongoing need and the support they are providing to new families, children and carers.

"They need to raise £150,000 by the end of June and I accordingly said I would do my part. I am running the Reading Half Marathon on 22nd March with a number of friends who are going to help fundraise.

"We need to find this money. Get involved. This is an amazing charity doing incredible work.”
