Review:

This is a lovely spot to walk dogs or to just get some air. There are several paths set out in ‘loops’ with plenty of flat-level surfaces. We stick to the loop on the left as the one on the right can be trickier if it’s rained/is muddy plus the bridge on the right loop has a big lip that is quite hard to manage in a powerchair.

Dogs can roam and run and everyone is always friendly. For nature walkers, there is plenty to see, including wetlands, wildflowers and a community orchard.

And for people with little ones, there’s statues of animals to spot and climb plus a cute acorn playhouse.

The park doesn’t’ have any toilet facilities, so bear that in mind, but if you need refreshments, there is a petrol station and a Starbucks just over the road.

But overall, they’ve really thought about accessibility here – even the picnic benches have ‘half-seats’ so that chair users can take a place at the table.

And for ambulant strollers who need to sit down occasionally, there are plenty of benches around the Park's 'loops' perfect for a rest.
