Review:

We went during opening week and are now regulars as the service and facilities are excellent.

Grow-up in an old market town where the pubs have a sleeper-style step to get into and you know how excited we were to try out a brand new pub close to home.

Upon arrival, one of the staff saw us coming and held open the doors. There are two double-door entrances and both of them with flat-level, step-free access, but the doors need holding open (if they are closed due to the weather - in good weather they are open).

We have been several times since that opening week and it never disappoints. When we get together, our gathering is 17-strong and the staff don’t blink an eye, always serving promptly and with a smile.

We went to H&W Crowthorne for lunch today (Saturday 2nd August 2025) . It has disabled parking straight out the front of the building, and the flat level access into the pub making entering the pub so easy. They have easy seating inside and outside the pub, with loads of space for wheelchairs. Once at a table you have the option of ordering through a waitress or through a QR code on your table. You can also pay through the QR code.

There's a disabled toilet within the pub. It’s locked with a radar key, but the staff always

have one to unlock the bathroom. The bathroom itself can be tight, with not much turning

space but overall, its kept nice and its clean.

H&W is also dog friendly. Offering water bowls and doggy biscuits.

Overall, the H&W is a great pub to go to. The easy, straight forward access, friendliness and

helpfulness of the staff and just overall great experience is the reason we are returning

customers and would highly recommend.

On an aside note, there is a lot of choice here in the menus, and plenty of options to choose from if you have intolerances or allergies. The cinnamon cheesecake is a favourite with our lot and it’s suitable for vegans too. And the coffee is strong and delicious!

Oh, and dogs are welcome, just not in the restaurant.
