As parents of disabled children and young people, we know how often we have to fight — for the right services, the right equipment, the right support. We advocate fiercely, we challenge decisions, and yes, sometimes we have to raise our voices when things aren’t good enough for our children.
But amidst the battles, there are shining moments of compassion, dedication, and excellence. There are teachers who go the extra mile, therapists who transform lives, medical professionals who care as if your child were their own, and volunteers who give their time and hearts without expecting anything in return.
Those moments deserve to be celebrated.
That’s why Building for the Future created the BFTF Awards – a prestigious event held every other year to honour the good work being done in health, education, social care, and beyond for children and young people with disabilities.

How to nominate
We urgently need parents and carers to tell us about the people and organisations who have made a difference. All you need to do is:
Tell us who they are, where they work, and why they deserve to win.
Send your nomination to jane@bftf.org.uk or scan the QR code on the flyer or fill out this form here: https://forms.gle/EhGHREXhSfMVL2iQA
Make sure it reaches us by 31 August 2025.
Let’s shine a light on the victories, the kindness, and the tireless efforts that too often go unnoticed. Your nomination could mean the world to someone who has made a real difference to your child’s or young person's life.
