Tots at a local nursery will start March with a Spring in their step with a fundraising walk for Building for the Future.

Staff and children at Redwood Early Years in Wokingham, will don their wellies for a terrific March for March in aid of 'Our House', our charity’s inclusive playcentre for disabled children.

Manager Sarah Gresty is excited to be heading the fundraiser in which twenty-three children aged from two to five will aim to walk at least a mile each day.

“We’ll be exploring our lovely community and supporting this fantastic cause with every step we take,” she said.

“Getting outside for exercise and fresh air is super important for both children and grown-ups. It boosts our physical and mental well-being, lets us enjoy nature, and helps us stretch our legs while opening our minds.”

The Redwood Early Years March for March aims to cover 500 miles with walks taken daily alongside outdoor learning projects and families are encouraged to clock-up the miles at home as well.

Supporters can help the children reach their £500 fundraising target via Just Giving and there’s also some crocheted Easter themed items for sale from the nursery.
